Rated 4 out of 5 by Lovely getaway The stay itself was fantastic, the room was massive, clean and very comfortable. The only thing I did not like was the buffet breakfast. We ordered the baked eggs and they were not very good. My husband had the big brekky and it was tiny! Other than that, the staff were lovely and we would definitely recommend it. 4 February 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful and relaxing experience in the Yarra Valley My wife and I were given a Red Balloon Balgownie Estate experience for our wedding, so we decided to use it for her 30th birthday. Not only were the staff wonderful (glass of sparkling at the check-in desk!), the room was perfect and the dinner we had in the restaurant was perfect (extra wows for the Roo and dessert plate!). I'd added the Romantic package to the night and the champagne appeared to be missing. When I alerted the staff they were super apologetic and gave us a bottle as a parting gift. Rated 4 out of 5 by Just what we needed!!! Quiet, Peaceful & relaxing. Enjoy walks in beautiful gardens of Balgownie , a quick game of chess., a swim in the pool. A spa in your room what more could you want...If you need quiet time or love wines this is the getaway for you!!!!!!!! 10 January 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by It was a great two days. The venue was fabulous. We ate,drank and walked. The environs were spectacular. The room was excellent although the pillows were too high for my comfort. The room was well appointed and comfortable. 15 December 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by The room was very nice, clean and warm upon arrival. The staff who welcomed us with a glass of champagne and seemed genuinely interested in what me and my partner had to say. The restaurant was lovely and the food was delicious although quite pricey. Overall a great place to stay. 8 July 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 We were made really welcome on arrival by friendly staff and a glass of bubbly each. Our room was very nice, and we had wine tastings before a wonderful, flavour filled 3 course dinner at Rae's restaurant. After spending a pleasant night in our room, we enjoyed a full buffet breakfast in the restaurant before a late checkout. Great food, great wine, great room and great staff. 2 July 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by it was a great experience with helpful staff, my wife was very surprised when after sending an enjoyable afternoon having a tasting from a couple of wineys we ended up at Balgownies.We enjoyed the heath spa and then topped it off with a great meal and a walk through their gardens ,i highly recommend this for a relaxing get away. 24 April 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Definitely a relaxing overnight stay. Enjoyed sipping wine from the balcony, overlooking mountain views, tennis court and large garden chess board. Made use of the sauna and spa. Rae's restaurant has a nice ambient setting. We had a delicious 3 course dinner and morning breakfast. Bonus points for free internet access in room. I would recommend coming here for a relaxing overnight stay and to enjoy the wines of the yarra valley. 22 April 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 Voucher redemption could be made a little less complex. The experiance @ the venue was enjoyable even having been locked out of our room for an hour was compensated for by a free drink in the bar. All in all a pleasent retreat for a couple of days. 20 April 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 What a wonderful experience my partner and I had at the Vinyard Resort.... I can highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to enjoy a very relaxing stay at a country retreat; being enticed by the broad range of available wines, endulging from the delicious restaurant menu or simply gazing over the spreading vinyards at the distant mountain ranges whilst enjoying a glass or three of wine from the balcony of your room. I would love to single out staff for their attention, but without hesitation or exception, I could comfortably say that the resort staff were fully engaged in making our stay rewarding and enjoyable. 13 January 2012
