Rated 1 out of 5 by wouldn't go there again the food was second grade it defiantly wasnt what I was expecting. The soft shell crab was in a thick batter, so was it soft shell crab or left overs in disguise?? The lobster was dry & over cooked, I was really looking forward to it & was greatly disappointed. As a steak house......my steak was chewy & not cooked as requested. So disappointed for what I paid! 23 March 2013

Rated 2 out of 5 by Location excellent. Food poor. It was a hot sunny day and the table was positioned in the sun and was uncomfortable. Both my Wife's and my Lobster were dry. Both of our Beef had a lot of sinew which made them very chewy. The desert was excellent. 14 March 2013

My brother purchased this experience for me and my partner as we are new parents so he thought it would be a lovely idea for us to go out on a date, as we don't get many chances these days. We were happy from the point of entering the restaurant. We were given a prime table with fantastic views of Darling harbour. We were indredibly lucky as the weather was beautiful so really set the scence. From the starter to the dessert our taste buds were tantalised. We enjoyed every part of the meal and would definatly recommend this experience. 17 February 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Memorable experience The whole evening was perfect. We were given the best table at the restaurant for full view of Australia Day festivities including fireworks. Food was plentiful and of the best quality. The service was very friendly and we would definately dine there again. 28 January 2013

Trying to choose an experience from the extensive list was hard enough, but given we love a night out in the city the opportunity to enjoy dinner at Cockle Bay was an easy choice in the end. Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent night out I Am Angus:- The staff were very welcoming & friendly. Our waiter was excellent, very friendly & attentive. Food was delicious & very filling. Had Red Balloon vouchers for 2, consisting for 3 courses for each. Had party of 4 so order extra full rack of ribs. We left very full & with a wonderful nite to remember. 16 December 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by This was a wonderful lunch, great venue Thoroughly stuffed ourselves with a beautiful 3-course lunch. The entree got our taste buds going. Main course of steak and lobster with bernaise sauce was excellent. Managed to squeeze in dessert which was devine. It was a lovely day and a perfect spot by the water to relax. Rated 4 out of 5 by Good experience with some reservations On arrival it appeared our table was booked so we were left standing in the middle of the resturant while staff worked out what to do even though there were spare tables & chairs. We had even checked in at 6.30 to make sure they had our booking. Once seated we felt like second class citizens, my husband simply asked what the experience included and whether we could order from the main menu. We were ingored and no one was able to give us a satisfactiry answer. My daughter eventually spoke to the manager on the other side of the resturant who explained things to her which is all we were looking for. Hence the average rating for staff - all your staff should be as helpful and considerate as the manage who finally made us feel relaxed. The food however was excellent, loved the mixed entre plate however it would be good to have more of a selection of main meals. 2 December 2012

My wife and I was given a Three Course Steakhouse indulgence for Two voucher as a gift, we attended with our 15 year old son for Saturday lunch and from the time we arrived our table was prepared in advance, we were advised by the very freindily staff on what to expect, and we were not disappointed. Our entree was mouth watering, for our main my wife had steak and lobster with a huge side salad while I had salmon which melted in my mouth, the side of buttered beans were great. And not forgeting my son who order half rack of ribs, now he is pretty good on the tooth, but he said they were that nice is wasn't about to leave any. He even found room to help mum finish the wonderfull deserts. Overall we spend 2 hours taking in the marvarlous views of Cockle Bay. A wonderful experince both food and staff were excellent and I would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone. 19 November 2012
