Rated 3 out of 5 by Excellent service from staff member, but some issues Firstly, I thought the make-up artist did a great job, and had a very personable manner. She is definitely an asset to the company. However, the experience was sold as a 'private, one-on-one lesson' with a make up artist, and I don't really think this is what I received. The lesson was held at the company's make up academy, and over the course of the hour that was meant to be 'private', there were multiple customers purchasing products, and the telephone rang. As the make up artist was the only person around, we had to stop three times during the lesson for her to handle the customers and phone, which was quite disruptive and also resulted in me being late back to work. I think if something is advertised as private and one-on-one, it really needs to be that! 18 January 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gave me confidence! I redeemed my RedBalloon voucher and then received an email confirmation with the address of the makeup studio, confirmed time and and instructions. When I arrived for my appointment, my lovely makeup artist Lucy asked me what sort of look I wanted to learn specifically. I've always wanted to do the smokey eye look (well) so that is what we went with. Lucy took me though every single step -- she did one side of my face, and then I did the other -- and gave me heaps of tips along the way. I used to be fairly good with makeup but during the last 11 years of parenting, I've lost touch with what's available and how to use it. I was stoked with how much I learned and I do feel more confident on how to utilise my makeup at home. The BEST thing about this experience is you get to spend $95 dollars (which is the same amount as the entire experience) on your choice of Napoleon makeup so not only did I take home skills with me, but goodies too. 13 December 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Brilliant make-up lesson, great venue, great instructor! This was an extremely valuable experience. In my nearly 40 years I have never been shown how to correctly apply make-up. I bought this for my step-daughter and bought myself one to tag along. It showed us correct techniques for applying make-up, skin maintenance and all this with a very patient and enthusiastic instructor. The products we received for our payment were extremely competitive in price. Will certainly be going back. Highly recommend this experience to all out there! 1 December 2012

This was a great experience, where not only did you learn how to apply makeup but get to purchase and take home some of the products you used. The lady who provided the service was bright and lovely and contriduted to the overall great experience. I would deffinately recommend this to others. 25 November 2012

The make up artist really listened to the style of make up I wanted, very natural, and showed me how to do it myself. Because she did half my face, then I copied for the other half, she was able to correct any little mistakes I was making, and show me how to do it better. 14 August 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by The Napoleon Perdis make up lesson was much better than I expected. I always find those sorts of things a bit intimidating, but it was very relaxed and Lucy was great. I learned some great tips and thought the make up application looked really lovely. $95 worth of product was an added bonus, even though you can't get much for that amount of money. I opted to choose 2 items that cost more than $95 and paid the difference. 14 June 2012
