Rated 2 out of 5 by Mixed feelings Room was dated, bathroom floor was not clean , mini bar was not stocked, weren't offered the room upgrade by reception(found out later!) , Dinner and breakfast were bland (however for dinner we were upgraded by the lovely staff waiter to the salmon main... still bland though) Positives - good city view, comfy bed and pillows, friendly staff. 14 March 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice getaway Meals were sensational but I was not happy with the views which were meant to give me city views and all I got was to look at a one building because our room was so low. The bed was the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on- it was like sleeping on a bowl of jelly. Therefore I left my wife to the bed while I slept on the couch.Not so Great for her 40th Birthday which was supposed to be a romantic night together. Was also a little dissapointed that I had to park my car elsewhere as the undercover parking was full. All up because it was supposed to be a nice romantic night for my wife and I who never get away together I was a little disappointed. 11 March 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by Dinner was delicious!!!!! We were excited to celebrate our wedding anniversary with dinner, a show, executive king room and breakfast.... and a late check out. Unfortunately when we tried to check in around 7.30pm, our room wasn't ready.... 40 mins later, we finally got to our room.... To find it was two single beds. We were 30 mins late for our dinner booking. Had a wonderful meal and speedy service, but was still 20 mins late for our show. Dinner was delicious!!! Highly recommend the dinner., When we spoke to reception and asked them to bring in a king mattress to put on the two singles, she said she would later. We wandered in after midnight and found we still had two single beds. For the amount of money we paid... we were disappointed. 6 March 2013

Rated 2 out of 5 by Decent Hotel, Let down by resturant. Hotel room was comfortable and what you would expect for the money. Aside from the clunky old school air conditioner the room was quite nice. The resturant however was poor to say the least... My steak was one of the worst i have ever had and my partners chicken dish dry and flavourless. Add to the fact that close to half the menu was unavailable for one reason or another. Also might be handy to highlight the fact that the menu available isnt the a la carte menu but a special menu for this deal. 25 February 2013

Great room (and view), great service, good food (dinner & buffet breakfast included), and very convenient late checkout allowing us to relax with a late breakfast and relaxation time prior to leaving the hotel in the early afternoon. Highly recommended. 4 February 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice Experience, Location fabulous!!! Hotel was nice, clean and modern. Staff were helpful. TV did'nt seem to have the best reception. Basic toiletries supplied so make sure you bring everything you need. Restaurant exp was basic. I suggest going an entree and main and venturing out to the other wonderful restaurants around you for a dessert. Breakfast was cold and basic too!! The location is amazing so again venture out to the amazing restaurants aound you for there great food or even book a show. Overall a basic but nice exp wiuth a great location that gave us the opportunity to get out and visti the city so really it bacame just somewhere nice to sleep. If your wanting to get out and about in the city and see a show etc then this could work well for you!!! 15 January 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great night out for our 35th Wedding Anniversary Being our exact day of our 35th Wedding Anniversary, the dinner, accomodation, breakfast and the generous and courteous hospitality extended by the hotel's staff made it a great experience. Only problem was that being a Monday night the shows were on their nights off! 16 December 2012

We wanted a no fuss city stay for our anniversary - we booked this and had a wonderful time, we loved being so close to the Melbourne shopping and china town. The hotel was comfortable, the roof top pool is heated and the service staff friendly. We will get this again 26 November 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by This was an okay experience On first arriving for our experience we were impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the staff on duty. On arriving in our executive king size room( very spacious ) we were extremely disappointed. Our room was in its original state and not refurbished at all as states and shows in promotional photographs The smell of old cigarettes nearly took our breath away. Our room was not cleaned properly with dust on most surfaces and hot chocolate powder all over the beverage and fridge cabinet. Unfortunately the smell of this being originally a smoking room cannot be masked by air freshers as the smell is in the carpet, drapes, fittings and furniture. The strongest of all being in the air conditioning units. We could not use them. I am not the type of person to complain usually and didn't ask to be moved as we were told the hotel was full so we just put up with it, the smell made our experience quite poor. As a person that works in Hospitality these things made our experience not as good as it could have been. On a positive note I would like to say that the restaurant and service , and food was brilliant. I would highly recommend the City High Menu and the sirloin steak. Service with a smile even on a busy Saturday Night. 25 November 2012
