Rated 4 out of 5 by A very good experience in learning night photographic technique for beginner. A well and professionally conducted learning experience in Night photographic technique for beginners. The tutor was very knowledgeable, patience and helpful. The only unpleasant experience, if I have to name some, would be some drunken hooligans present around the participanting students. I guess this is unavoidable in our society. 18 January 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by A fun experience! This experience was bought for me and my partner as a Christmas present. It was a good course although it is designed as a DSLR beginners course so if you are experienced with your camera and understand the concepts of exposure then you might find the first hour a little slow. However once they have everyone on the same page we got in to some more unusual "arty" techniques, not just standard night photography, so it was fun to play with those techniques. 17 January 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Night Photography Course you will be taking photos like a professional after this course. Great Photography course, i had so much fun learning new skills. This photography course started near the Opera House we meet Ben our teacher for the afternoon. Ben went over the camera settings and showed us all how we can get away from the automatic setting and explained the difference between Manual and automatic settings. We then started shooting under AV mode we took a few photos of the Opera house, Ben also explained a few different techniques of shooting with AV mode and explained depth of field. We moved around to 4 different locations in the Sydney CBD and learnt different techniques at each location. My favourite part of all was colour photography. We set up just a few metres away from the CBD with our tripods and cameras, we set our aperture to a Fstop of 22 with a 10 second shutter speed took the photo and stood in front of the camera with a torch and made a little design.eg: Love heart, name or swirl. Please see photos of how this looks. This was so much fun, i didn’t realise how easy it was to take some amazing shots like this. After adding my photos on facebook and showing all my friends, they were very impressed with my new skills, i did gloat all weekend. This course left me inspired and ready to learn more about DSLR photography. This course really is for immediate and beginner photographers. Ben the instructor is great at what he does and you can really learn a lot from him. 6 January 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 Instructor was good and knowledgeable about photography and cameras etc. I suggest you should differentiate the basic knowledge photographic people from the people who have had somoe more experience and already know something about depth of field, exposure, shutter speed, ISO etc (and the relationships between some of this atrtributes). 20 July 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by The tutor was excellent catering for everyone in the group and he was able to communicate with everyone at their level of experience without making anyone feel inadequate. Huge amounts of knowledge was shared in an engaging way. Benjamin Lee teaching ability definitely made the night. 15 July 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Loved it. Learned loads of new techniques and tricks. Would have been great to have a bit more time spent on composition, but with a harbour as beautiful as Sydney, it was hard NOT to take an excellent shot! Really fun night. Make sure you wear comfy shoes; there's a lot of walking. 4 July 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Though the tutors are EXCELLENT, those who have some basic knowledge of functions on their DSLR already will get more out of it. Best part was learning how to paint with light. Highly recommend. 4 July 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Course was amazing! I have gone from someone who usually uses all the automatic settings on my SLR camera, to understanding and using the manual settings. I got some great shots, and look forward to putting my new skills to practice. I highly recommend this course :-) 20 May 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by A handout with all the information covered would have been a good idea. So much information and not enough time to take sufficient notes. 16 April 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by I experienced problems because of poor eyesight in low light conditions, and mobility problems being an amputee and found the light painting just too difficult to take photos on my knees with the camera vertical, but apart from that I really enjoyed the three hours with Ben. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend it to people doing night photography for the first time. I ended up learning so much. 16 April 2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by Course was great learnt some really neat tricks with the camera but thought it was a bit too advanced and would have liked some more basic explanations about functions otherwise make it more clear that the course would suit someone with slightly more experience. Our instructor was really helpful though and very patient! 16 March 2012
